MAXXI Museum of 21st Century Arts

Rome

Maxxi Rome Lihting Design

The Maxxi provides a major new focus for art and culture in Rome located within a building that makes a deliberately modern statement within the Roman cityscape.

The lighting brief was multi-facetted comprising technical display requirements, conservation needs and the use of light as a communication medium, the latter being a key part of the experience of MAXXI.

The MAXXI Museum of 21st Century Arts, delivered over an extended period, re-defines what a gallery is about introducing an unusual fluidity and movement whilst still delivering all of the technical requirements of this type of building.
