The conversion of this old Royal Navy Victualling Yard, which was constructed between 1825 and 1831, involved the refurbishment of 16 Grade 1 Listed buildings, the largest collection of listed buildings on one site within the UK.
The Yard was transformed after the project was completed from a disused series of warehouse buildings to what is now a vibrant mixed use scheme anchored with a high residential content.
The use of the Royal William Yard at night is encouraged and extended with the use of artificial light which uses both the building stock and quayside structures to provide an enhanced night time scene.
