Bonhams Headquarters

Completed in 2014, this new Hong Kong headquarters is Bonhams first dedicated sales room in Asia. The project was developed to incorporate a similar look and feel to the recently completed Auction House in London.

Central to the development of the project was the creation of an adaptable, flexible facility. In this respect, a number of scenarios are able to be created including one large sales room, two smaller sales rooms, conference and gallery facilities as well as an evening function and event location. In the latter arrangement, the reception space can be relocated.

To facilitate adaptability, the ambient and display illumination, along with other services elements, have been carefully integrated within the main ceiling space. Backlit panels are also positioned in this location, a key part of the space presentation during evening events.

As with the London Auction House, a detailed project completion handover was undertaken with the client’s Facilities Management team who continue to manage the lighting installation.

This work was undertaken in conjunction with Lifschutz Davidson Sandilands on behalf of Bonhams.
