Project:

Hanover Square

Completed:
LOCATION:

Triggered by the new Bond Street Elizabeth Line station, this project represented a major opportunity for the regeneration of this part of the West End of London, creating the capacity for Hanover Square to once again become a focus in this location.

The project was complex and involved the delivery of a range of building types that included two office buildings (on Hanover Square and New Bond Street), luxury residential apartments, food & beverage outlets, high-end retail and the refurbishment of 20 Hanover Square, a conservation listed building.

A key element in activating the scheme was the new public realm which incorporated a new pedestrian square, a series of boulevards and a re-established pedestrian link via the Medici passage between New Bond Street and Hanover Square. The new scheme is an active part of London, both daytime and night-time.

The EQ2 Light brief covered all of the lighting requirements across the above project components making the Hanover Square scheme one of the largest and most varied within our portfolio. This work was undertaken with Lifschutz Davidson Sandilands on behalf of Great Portland Estates.
