Project:

Runnymede Hotel

Completed:
LOCATION:

The Runnymede on Thames Hotel is situated on the banks of the River Thames in Surrey. The hotel site is, in fact, directly adjacent to the location where the Magna Carter was agreed and signed by King John in 1215 – now a National Trust property.

This project followed the successful completion of The Grove Hotel in Hertfordshire for Ralph Trustees Ltd. The scope included all of the Ground Floor public spaces, the Left Bank Restaurant and the Runnymede Conference Suites. The external setting of the hotel, with its riverside location was also refurbished and relandscaped to include new lighting.

A main focus for the refurbishment was the Reception and the Lounge/Bar which combine to create a large welcome space for visitors. The external works included a new site entrance, a new customer drop-off zone and new riverside terraces, the latter supporting the hotel catering operations.

In support of these public elements, the refurbished Runnymede Conference Suites provides a high-quality facility for both corporate and function events.

EQ2 worked on this project directly the client, Ralph Trustees Ltd.
