Newcastle Quayside
A major new intervention within the City of Newcastle that involved the regeneration of a large part of the city's dock and quayside. The brief in this instance included all of the new public realm (pedestrian and vehicular) together with the re-lighting of the Tyne Bridge.
OXO RESTAURANT, BAR & BRASSERIE
A primary focus for this project were the Restaurant and Brasserie spaces together with support circulation space and the Tower illumination.
The Royal Victoria Dock Footbridge
The scope of works for the Royal Victoria Dock Footbridge included the architectural presentation of the bridge structure and also the illumination of pedestrian routes including stairs, lifts and the main bridge deck.
THE LOWRY
Within this project, the EQ2 Light scope included interior public and performance spaces, the Lowry galleries, the building exterior and the surrounding public realm and footbridge.
THE SAGE
The brief for EQ2 Light on this project included all of the public movement and circulation elements, auditoria and the building exterior.
ONDAATJE WING EXTENSION, NATIONAL PORTRAIT GALLERY
The project scope for EQ2 Light on this project included all public spaces – Exhibition, Cafe, Lecture Theatre and Circulation. Daylight performance was also part of the brief for this project, specifically considering the exhibition spaces.
THE PEACE GARDENS
This project involved the re-working of Sheffield City Centre and included new public spaces, adjacent building illumination and adjacent roads and pedestrian routes. EQ2 Light’s brief covered the whole project.
MAXXI MUSEUM OF 21ST CENTURY ARTS
The EQ2 work parcel on this project covered all public areas and elements. This included gallery, lecture and circulation spaces as well as the external presentation of the project
SPINNAKER TOWER
The brief for EQ2 Light on this project included the viewing platform and the main tower entrance. However, the main work parcel on this project involved the external presentation of Spinnaker.
MORE LONDON
The brief for this major new part of the London included all of the external public realm together with adjacent parts of the cityscape.
SALERNO MARITIME TERMINAL
The scope for EQ2 Light on this project included all of the public areas and elements of the Terminal, the external presentation and the back-of-house customs and office spaces.
MIDDLESBROUGH TOWN CENTRE
Lighting was a lead component on this regeneration scheme where the focus was on the drawing together of various public realm and building assets within Middlesbrough Town Centre.
THE ROYAL WILLIAM YARD
The brief for this major refurbishment project was to consider, primarily, the exterior of the Royal William Yard scheme. This included both new public spaces and the illumination of both buildings and quayside structures/furniture.
BMW CENTRAL BUILDING
The brief for this project included all public, work and communal spaces within this new office for BMW.
THE GROVE HOTEL
All of the internal public spaces, rooms, suites and external elements were included in the lighting brief for this extensive hotel to the North West of London.
HOTEL ESPLANADE
The brief in this instance comprised all of the public areas and sample rooms in this famous Zagreb hotel.
CARLISLE BAY
The project brief in this instance included all of the public areas of the hotel including an extensive spa along with the resorts rooms and suites.
Johnson Building
the EQ2 Light brief for this project included all of the interior and exterior lighting in this extensive commercial office building.
Regents Canal, London
The project scope in this instance involved an 800 metre section of the Regents Canal in London that included Camden Lock. Both the functional and feature lighting of this section of Regents Canal was included within lighting design brief.
Oxford Castle
The refurbishment and regeneration of this major scheme in the centre of Oxford. The EQ2 brief included the interior and exterior elements of the project, the latter of which embraced Oxford Castle itself.
WHITEWATER SHOPPING CENTRE
The EQ2 work parcel for this project included all of the interior mall spaces and the new landscaping and square that was delivered as part of this shopping centre scheme.
LA RINASCENTE
La Rinascente Milan comprised a new food hall, a new ground floor entrance and a new restaurant and terrace that overlooks Milan’s cathedral. EQ2 Light’s brief included all of the public areas of this new scheme.
RENOMA
The brief for EQ2 Light was to consider both interior and exterior lighting of this premier shopping centre in Wroclaw, Poland. The project included both new build and existing building elements within the complex scheme.
DLR Shadwell
This project was undertaken as part of a number of station refurbishments on the DLR. The brief encompassed all public areas including the station platform.
THE ROYAL WELSH COLLEGE OF MUSIC & DRAMA
This project included the illumination of the two theatre spaces, rehearsal and support and public, front-of-house circulation. The external building presentation also formed part of the EQ2 brief in this instance.
PARAMOUNT RESTAURANT
The lighting brief for Paramount Restaurant comprised all public areas which included the Main Restaurant and Bar, Private Dining and an Event Space.
PARK HOUSE, LONDON
The EQ2 brief for this project included all areas with the exception of the main office lighting. Key project areas include both commercial and residential receptions, residential commonparts and apartment interiors.
NEW BROOK BUILDINGS
The EQ2 Light work parcel for New Brook included the external landscaping and building presentation as well as internal common parts and the main building reception.
ANGEL BUILDING
EQ2 Light was responsible for all of the interior and exterior lighting in this large commercial office building.
STANISLAVSKY FACTORY
Stanislavsky was realised by EQ2 Light where their design provide continuity through a large scheme and add elegance and interest to external landscaped areas.
ROTHSCHILD HEADQUARTERS
The EQ2 Light brief for Rothschild Headquarters included all public, workplace and external lighting requirements for this major new headquarters building.
THE CHARLOTTE BUILDING
The lighting brief for this building included all of the office spaces together with the Reception, the Cores the Building Exterior and External Landscaping. A specific treatment for the lift cars also formed part of the scope in this instance.
LOCKTON INSURANCE HEADQUARTERS
The brief for this project involved the consideration of all client side areas of this office fit out together with Reception, Break Out and other staff support areas.
CROSSRAIL C100
EQ2 Light was employed as the lighting designer for this substantial part of the new CrossRail development in London. The C100 contract covered all public aspects of the CrossRail scheme from escalators to platforms.
SPAN 4 PADDINGTON STATION
The project brief for Span 4 Paddington Station was to consider both the platform and the architectural illumination as part of a major refurbishment of the part of Paddington Station.
THE RUNNYMEDE-ON-THAMES
The EQ2 work parcel for the Runnymede included all of the public and conferencing spaces including the external presentation of the hotel and grounds.

The brief for EQ2 Light on this project included all interior lighting arrangements and associated lighting control
BONHAMS AUCTION HOUSE
Included within the EQ2 Light brief for this project were all of the public elements within the scheme including the three salerooms, the New Bond Street Entrance and the meeting spaces.
Fitzroy Place
EQ2 Light was responsible for interior and exterior lighting to the residences and all of the public interior and exterior elements of this large mixed use scheme.
THE DORSETT HOTEL
This project represented the first venture for the Dorsett Hotel Group in the UK and involved the conversion of an existing Grade 2 listed cinema building located at the Western end of Shepherds Bush. The EQ2 Light brief in this instance included all of the main public spaces within the hotel and external facades.
MARRIOTT HOTEL
The lighting brief for this project included all of the interior public areas, external public areas and the hotel’s rooms and suites.
FOYLES FLAGSHIP
The work parcel for EQ2 Light in this instance included all retail, food & beverage, meeting and conference areas within this major new store on Charing Cross Road.
THE MORRISON HOTEL
This project involved the reworking of all of the public areas and rooms within this high profile central Dublin hotel.
DAVIDSON BUILDING
The EQ2 Light scope in this instance extended to all of the public, circulation and office areas within this commercial refurbishment scheme
Sheraton Grand London Park Lane
This was a major refurbishment of the Sheraton Grand London Park Lane that included some of the primary public spaces and the hotel rooms.
MARRIOTT AUTOGRAPH, INTOURIST HOTEL
EQ2 Light worked alongside MKV Design on this project looking at all of the public areas within the scheme and also the bedrooms and suites.
BONHAMS ACTION HOUSE HONG KONG
The brief for Bonhams Hong Kong included all of the display and gallery spaces as well as the Reception and support areas.
CLERYS DEPARTMENT STORE
All ‘front-of-house’ elements of this major refurbishment included within the EQ2 Light brief for this project. A key part of the brief for this project was to help to re-create some of the former grandeur that was associated with the Clerys Department store.
The Commonwealth House, New Oxford Street
All of the office, work space and circulation elements of this office refurbishment were included in the EQ2 Light brief for this commercial development.

The EQ2 Light work parcel for this building included all of the commonparts areas of the scheme together with the office workplace lighting.
8 FINSBURY CIRCUS
The EQ2 Light brief for this scheme included all of the public areas of the building including elements such as the WC's, the Office terraces and the Lightwells. The external presentation of the building also formed part of the EQ2 Light scope for Finsbury Circus.
